McDonald's Activist Training
Every single day McDonald's workers are subjected to horrendous treatment by offenders. Sometimes the offenders are bosses, sometimes they are 'customers'.
The list is endless - harrassment, bullying, assaults, threats, violence and more.
The bosses demand we work in 40 degree kitchens, in flooded workspaces, in drive thru "hot boxes" and outside in the dark.
They refuse to instal security cameras to capture car details in the drive thru or offenders in the carpark, but monitor every second of every minute with cameras on us.
We are fighting back. Through RAFFWU.
We are holding a special activist training and planning event in Melbourne in late November. At the weekend we will build plans for organising our stores and demanding a safer workplace.
We need help with the cost of bringing workers from around Australia to the Activist Training event.
None of us earn penalty rates. We all earn less than minimum Award wages. Many of us earn as little as $10 per hour on 'junior' poverty rates.
Every little bit helps. $500 will cover the cost of accommodation and travel for each participant. If you can help, please donate to this important action.
